Her topic will be "Your Next Path - Taking the Career Road Less Traveled". She will explore career options outside of the traditional "work for a paycheck" mindset. “Your Next Path – Considerations for Less Traveled Roads”
This will be a facilitated discussion about three paths that job seekers may want to consider as they continue their journeys:
· Changing fields – assessing your current skills, background and experience and applying them to another field; we will share some real world examples and consider the pros and cons
· Changing sectors – transitioning from the for-profit world to nonprofit (and vice versa) – our presenters will chronicle two personal examples of such transitions with a focus on assessing the pros and cons
· Entrepreneurship – is it for you? What does it really mean to be your own boss? Assessing the skills, attributes and risk tolerance for making such a move
