Our next meeting is Monday, December 10th at 7PM in Room 22 at Grace Church. Our special guest speaker is DJ Eidson, District Manager for Kowa Pharmaceuticals. He is an experienced hiring manager and will give us an exciting presentation on "What Hiring Managers Look for in Candidates". This will be a great session to learn how to separate yourself from the crowd when interviewing.

Also, mark your calendars for Monday, December 17th when we will meet for our Holiday Gathering at the Panera at Great Northern at 7:00pm. Please join us for a time of relaxed fellowship and food as we celebrate the Christmas season.

Remember, companies are hiring now to get new employees started in January so don't take a holiday from your job search!

Now that summer is winding down it is time to get "Back to School" with your job search. Our next meeting is Monday, September 10th at 7PM in Room 22 (Chapel) at Grace Church. I will be offering a refresher session on how to jump start your job search and get it back on track as we approach the end of the year. I invite feedback on your struggles, successes and any special search tips that you have used, and I welcome you to share them with our group.

Marvin Montgomery, a highly sought after motivational speaker will talk to our group on "How to Sell Yourself in a Competitive Job Market". Please work through Step 1 in the workbook and bring your WEEKLY PROGRESS REVIEW & PREVIEW sheet (page 12 of the workbook) to share your High and Low Points of this past week. We will have table discussions during the presentations as we continue to encourage one another.
