Grace JSN Roundtable tomorrow - Mon, 6/11 @ 7:00pm

Hi everyone,

The next Roundtable Discussion time is Monday, June 11^th  (tomorrow), 7:00 - 8:00pm, in Room 66 at Grace Church led by Todd Linderman on the JSN Ministry Team. We will continue to hold these open discussions on the Mondays between our formal meeting nights, especially during the Crossroads Career Network training schedule. The purpose of these Roundtable Discussions is to offer a time for us to come together and informally just TALK about our job search successes, challenges or to further explore the Crossroads topics as they relate to our job search and career transition experiences.

For your information, it’s a lot easier to get to Room 66 via the back entrance (it should be open). Enter through the back entrance and go straight until the hallway dead-ends. Turn right and follow the new hallway until you get to Room 66.

NEXT MEETING: Monday, April 16th - Guest Speaker Sandy Heath

Our next meeting is Monday, April 16th at 7PM in The Chapel (Rm 22) at Grace. We will be taking a brief break from our Crossroads Career Network training. Our special guest speaker will be Sandy Heath of Sandra Heath and Associates: www.sandraheath.com . She will speak on "Strategies on Working with Temp Agencies to Get Meaningful Employment", or "The Good, Bad and Ugly of Working with Temp Agencies". Sandy will provide insight into the truths and myths about Temp Agencies and how to best use them during your job search, and how to land permanent, full-time positions using agencies like hers.

Please come with a lot of questions and personal testimonies on using Temp Agencies to share with her and the group.

We will get back to Crossroads Step 4 - SORTING: How to Wow Interviewers on Monday, May 7th.

Networking is the number one most effective way to find open positions and we will discuss critical techniques and tools to make you a Networking Pro!

Our next meeting is Monday, March 5th at 7PM in Room 203 (NOTE ROOM CHANGE) at Grace Church. Our topic is Crossroads Step 2 - APTITUDE (Part 2) - Evaluate Your Strengths and Discover Your Spiritual Gifts with Michelle Natale. We will be looking at your personal assessments and discussing how your unique spiritual gifts reveal God's Calling for your work.

Please bring your Crossroads Workbook and any personal assessments you have taken now or in the past, and don't forget to fill out and bring your Weekly Progress Sheets!

I would just like to mention that this past Monday’s gathering was great. There were only 4 people at the gathering, but that allowed us to have an almost one-on-one session. NEXT MEETING: Monday, January 16th - Planning for Success in 2012

Grace Church will be closed next Monday due to the New Years Holiday. Our next meeting will be Monday, January 16th at 7pm in The Chapel at Grace. Our topic will be "Goal Setting and Planning for Success in 2012" and I will share with you how important it is to have a Plan and to set Daily, Weekly, Monthly and a Yearly Goals for our jobs and careers, whether are working or looking for work. We will also discuss those tips and techniques that we have used successfully in our job search efforts that led to more and better interviews, and job offers!

Just a reminder, we will begin Crossroads Career Network Training at the end of January so please sign up to be an Explorer at www.crossroadscareer.org (link below) and download the 2012 Workbook to get a jump start. Due to the GO DEEP event at Grace on Monday the 21st we are meeting this coming Monday, November 14th at 7PM in The Chapel. We will have a Panel Discussion with Re-Employed Job Seekers and they will talk about their Job Search Success in a Tough Job Market. This will be an open forum for them to share their success stories and for you to probe into what made them successful and how they landed.

This will be an interactive meeting so come with lots of questions!
